Recently the Wolves caught up with member of the 21-22 Frozen Finals EHL team, Kevin Johnston, who recently completed his sophomore season at UMass- Dartmouth.

Asked how the EHL prepared him for college, Johnston had this to say, "Playing in the ehl prepared me for college as the level of play was intense every game and every shift. You were not allowed to take a single shift off because that’s how teams would pounce on you quickly and take advantage, which was vastly different compared to other junior leagues I played in."

Kevin, who this year scored 11 goals for the Corsairs, starred for his final season of Junior Hockey here with the Wolves, " I committed to UMass Dartmouth in the second half of the year as the schools coaching staff was able to see me play throughout the year at showcases and other games that were located near the school. Coach Kunes and Bates were always in contact with colleges helping players get recruited. I was also fortunate that Coach Bates gave me an insight on how it is to play for Coach Noack which really helped out my decision to go be a Corsair."

Now with his first 2 NCAA seasons under his belt Johnston had this advice for prospective Junior players. "My advice for players is to always play with a purpose and attention to detail. Whether it’s at practice doing drills, always do it the way it’s intended to be done, at 100% and doing the little things that can elevate your game. In a game always playing your role for the betterment of the team. The goal is to win and everyone needs to be involved and on the same page."

The Wolves are proud of all that Kevin Johnston has accomplished so far in his career at UMass- Dartmouth and wish him continued success!  Congrats!
