Recently the Wolves caught up with former Assistant Captain, defenseman Robby Haak, who finished his career at SUNY- Morrisville earlier this year.

Asked how the EHL prepared him for college, Robby had this to say, "The EHL pushed me as a player and a person. The EHL has a such a large range of skill. Every team gave us a challenge and the where no easy win. For going to the next level it showed me how college was gonna be and what the game is like at that level."

Robby starred for 1 season (2019-20) with the Wolves.  That EHL team recorded over 20 wins and qualified for the playoffs.  Robby was a key ingredient and leader on the squad, and was the first player in the EHL that year to make his college commitment, "While looking at schools I had the opportunity to choose where i got to go, while at the Wolves being have Coach Kunes and Bates by my side helping me with guidance. I chose Morrisville because they had the programs I wanted to take in school and the coaching from Coach Azzano and Coach Krogol was great. They where always straight forward. Until the day i committed and even after i heard from them at least once a week just to check in."

He played 4 years at Morrisville in the competitive SUNYAC division, and quietly posted his best college season this past year. "I think the best advice i could give is, its great if you can score 100 points a season but if you cant be a lockerroom guy and a guy that anyone can come talk to on or off the ice and have an impact off the ice like you have an impact on  the ice is more important"

The Wolves wish Robby continued success in this next chapter, and thank him for his contributions to Wolves hockey.
