The New England Wolves recently completed a Free Learn To Play Hockey Program at Merrill Fay Arena. The program was a huge success, signing up over 30 kids ages 4 to 12. The program taught many skills including skating, edge work, shooting, passing and stick handling. Obstacle courses and scrimmages were their favorites! Sessions were twice a week, Sunday morning and Monday afternoon. USA Hockey Registration was required. Equipment package was made available from Capital Sports and used equipment was provided free to any child who needed it! Many children came to us with no prior skating experience, but soon with the structure provided by New England Wolves Staff and volunteers, made incredible progress! Almost all of the skaters attended  tryouts for the New England Wolves Youth Hockey Program and were placed on teams for the following season. The New England Wolves will be taking over all youth hockey operations from Lakes Region Youth Hockey at Merrill Fay Arena for the upcoming 24-25 hockey season. The New England Wolves are committed to the long term athletic development of its members by providing a safe, friendly environment, USA Hockey Credentialed Coaches, and team building! Due to the huge success of the Free Learn To Play Hockey Program the New England Wolves will be offering this again. Check out the New England Wolves website and videos on You-Tube and Instagram for more information and registration. We will be looking to sign up 60 kids this time around so sign up and come on down for a great experience. Your children will love it!!!
