The New England Wolves are pleased to announce the NCAA Division 1 commitment of their Alumni forward Patriks Marcinkevics to Long Island University.

Long Island University (LIU) is a private university with two main campuses, LIU Post and LIU Brooklyn, in the U.S. state of New York. It offers more than 500 academic programs at its main campuses, online, and at multiple non-residential. LIU has NCAA Division I athletics and hosts the annual George Polk Awards in journalism.

“I’m very excited for Patriks for getting his NCAA Division 1 commitment to LIU.  Patriks is a great kid, a hard worker and very talented player.  I’m happy to have coached him and wish him best of luck next season at LIU.” said Wolves EHL Head Coach Tim Kunes.

Marcinkevics played with the Wolves during the 2020-21 season, where he was awarded an EHL North All Star team berth and was a critical piece on the Wolves EHL playoff run.

“The Wolves organization is extremely proud of Patriks commitment to LIU. Our program provided a great step on his journey to Division One hockey, and we look forward to following his career at the next level.” GM Andrew Trimble

The Wolves wish Patriks Marcinkevics and Long Island University tremendous success.  Good luck in both your academic and athletic career.  Congratulations!
