Demio commits to Assumption University

By Staff Reports 01/30/2023, 5:15pm EST

The New England Wolves are proud to announce the commitment of Nick Demio to Assumption University for the Fall of 2023.  Demio is a 2002 birth year defender from Duxbury, MA in his second year with the Wolves Program.

Assumption University is a private, Roman Catholic, liberal arts university in Worcester, Massachusetts with an enrollment of about 2,000 undergraduates. The University offers 35 majors and 49 minors with newly added programs in cybersecurity, data analytics, health sciences, neuroscience, nursing, and physician assistant studies.

EHL Head Coach Tim Kunes commented, "Nick is a player who has improved a lot while in our program.  He was a key member of the team last year that made a run to the frozen finals.  He’s been great all season this year as well.  I’m proud of him and all of his hard work to achieve his goal of playing college hockey next year at Assumption."

Assumption plays at the NCAA DII level in the NE10 conference.  In the 2021-22 season, Assumption finished the season as the NE10 conference champions.  Thus far on the season, Demio has amassed 6 goals, 15 assists and 21 points in 37 games while playing a solid 200' game.

Congrats Nick and good luck in Worcester!
