First Half 2018-19 Season Recap

The New England Wolves Hockey Program in 2018-19 expanded to 5 teams, each at a different age bracket from U20 to U14.  With the expansion, the emphasis remained on providing quality workouts, skill sessions, and training time to all of our athletes.  Here are some early results:

TEAM ACHIEVEMENTS-

* Wolves U14 went 10-1 in the Fall NEPHL campaign, capturing the NEPHL Elite championship.  Additionally, they finished as runner-up in the Black Cat Classic Tournament in Hooksett, NH. 

* Midget Teams went a combined 17-3-1 in the Fall NEPHL season, culminating in a finals matchup between the two squads and a Fall Midget Championship for the U16 team.

* JR teams (EHL U20/ EHLP U19) have gone a combined 35-19, both having spent time in first place in their division.  Their combined 261 Goals for/ 4.83 Goals per game is the 3rd highest combined goals for average when calculated against teams with both EHL & EHLP teams (Philadelphia Revolution- 5.3, Philadelphia Little Flyers- 5.03)

* EHLP has had two 7- Game wins streaks.

* EHL & EHLP are both riding win streaks headed into Holiday recess (EHL- 2 game/ EHLP 3-game).

INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS-

* Wolves JR Players have had 5 Players of the Month for their respective leagues (not including December 2018)

* Wolves JR Players have had 7 Players of the Week for their respective leagues.  Additionally, they have had 4 more weekly Honorable Mentions.

* Wolves Forward Dominiks Marcinkevics was chosen for Team EHL to compete in the All Star Games (vs Plymouth State & UMass- Boston) and also was selected at the USA Junior Hockey Magazine October 2018 EHL Player of the Month.

* Wolves EHLP currently has 4 of the top 10 scorers, as well as the leader in shorthanded goals, and the leader in goaltenders save percentage.  Moreover, EHLP has scored more 1st period goals than any other team in the EHLP, and is undefeated in OT. They also statistically have the leagues 3rd best PK.

* Wolves EHL currently has 2 each in the top 10 in league point scoring and league goal scoring. Additionally, the Wolves EHL team has scored the 2nd most 3rd period goals in the league and is undefeated in OT.  EHL also has the leagues 4th best statistical PK.

ORGANIZATIONAL NOTES-

* Wolves were awarded a "Spirit of NH Award"for their Community Volunteer Work.  

* The City of Laconia issued a proclamation on September 24, 2018 naming it "New England Wolves Day".

* The Wolves have fundraised for Organizations and Charities so far this season:

Laconia Fire Life Saving Fund

Lakes Region Youth Hockey

Blue Lives Matter

and Participated in the Following Volunteer Projects:
