Show Signs of Progress

The Wolves JR Teams (EHL & EHLP), after each dropping their first game of the weekend, showed great signs of resiliency in each of their 2nd games of the weekend.  EHL defeated JR Rangers 4-1 on home ice and EHLP defeated JR Rangers 6-5 in Tewksbury, MA.

The EHL team lost on Friday to the NH Avalanche on home ice by a score of 7-4.  Daniels Leja was the offensive star, recording another multi-point game.

The team responded, however, with new life on Saturday night, putting together one of their best 60 minute efforts of the season.  Tommy Condon got the Wolves on the scoresheet first, before DJ Schwenke potted the winner half way through the second.  Zach Wagner then recorded both the 3rd and 4th goals of the contest to provide insurance and Kris Muhr was solid in nets.

The Wolves EHLP team, after having a disappointing 5-4 loss to the JR Rangers on Saturday, responded to similarly on Sunday afternoon in Tewksbury.  Cam Isabelle starred in nets as the Wolves built up a 5-2 lead mid-way through the 3rd.  Rangers would tie the score, sending it into overtime.  In OT, on a Power Play, Keller, TX native Alex Burnett would bury the netmouth scramble for the 6-5 OT win.

"I think both teams turned a corner this weekend, and showed signs of what they are capable of." commented Wolves GM Andrew Trimble. "I love to see how these young men handle adversity.  Positive or Negative it proves who you are, and many of our players really stepped up this weekend."

The Wolves return to action Thursday on the road in Walpole, MA.
