DEFENSEMAN - JACK JOHANSEN (NEW ENGLAND WOLVES)

On the flip side, the Johansen and the Wolves are off to the hottest start in the EHLP. Winners of their first 6 games, the Wolves have picked up wins against 5 different EHLP teams on their way to the undefeated start. Johansen has been a big contributor to the Wolves' hot start, as he currently ranks as the top-scoring defenseman in the EHLP and 3rd overall when you combine forwards and defensemen together. The 2000 from Milford, NH has at least a point in 5 of his team's first 6 games, and he also has a pair of performances where he tallied 4 or more points in a game. Looking ahead, the schedule doesn't get any easier for the Wolves, as they face-off with all 3 Philly teams (Philadelphia Jr. FlyersPhiladelphia Little Flyers, and Philadelphia Revolution) this weekend at the Columbus Day Showcase.

GOALTENDER - RYAN FUEG (NEW ENGLAND WOLVES)

While Johansen was the anchor on the blue line for the Wolves, Fueg followed suit between the pipes. The '99 netminder from Suffern, NY won all 3 of his starts in the month of September, including this past Sunday's matchup with the defending EHLP Champions, the Boston Jr. Rangers. The road is about to get even harder for Fueg and Wolves, as the upcoming schedule includes a tough set of games at the Columbus Day Showcase and 4 straight matchups with the Vermont Lumberjacks. The Wolves will be looking to lean on their netminder, and stay at the top of the New England Conference.
