Kunes takes on Director Role in Addition to Coaching EHL Team

Throughout the summer months, USA Hockey stages their annual player development regional and district camps, in an effort to provide elite level coaching and a once in a lifetime experience to the most elite players within the US.  Coaches and Staff are hand selected by USA Hockey to interact, train, and develop each of these players as they attempt to move up USA Hockey's "Ladder of Development".  New England Wolves EHL Head Coach and Director of Player Development, Tim Kunes, is currently at Kent State University, as he was selected as a coach for USA Hockey's Select 14 Southeast District Camp.

In addition to recieving this honor (for the 2nd season in a row), Kunes has also taken on the role of Director of Player Development within the Wolves Organization. This role entails:

Director of Player Development:

Implement Development Model for all players and ensure each reaches their maximum potential.  Provide advice, encouragement, goal setting and feedback for all players.  Attend and contribute to various practices at all levels.  Provide assistance to coaches throughout organization.

GM Andrew Trimble commented, "Tim has a wealth of knowledge and ability, and we were looking to create a layer of development for each level, that exceeds what traditional Team practice provides.  Tim will be a resource to both coaches and players in ensuring each player develops their complete game."

With the further expansion by the Wolves into the youth hockey market (U16 & U14 in 2018-19), this role will assist our players in reaching their maximum potential.
