Adam Barnes Signs Pro Contract

Winger to play pro in Native UK

2017-18 Wolves Forward Adam Barnes has signed his first professional contract for the 2018-19 season, the Manchester Storm organization has announced.

The 1999 Birth Year British forward is returning to hometown, Manchester after spending last season (2017-18) with the Wolves, totalling an impressive 37 points in 48 games.

Barnes has also signed a two-way contract with NIHL team, Blackburn Hawks.

Storm Head Coach Ryan Finnerty had the following to say;

We are happy to have Adam on board. I am looking forward to working with him this season. We have to start developing these young talents into great pros and I’m taking up the challenge. Adam will train, work out and will get valuable ice time with the two-way set up in Blackburn.

Barnes commented, “I’m really excited to start the season with Storm, as I have watched them play over the years and I have seen them become a great team. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and I can hope to be a part of another great season.”

In the last 12 months 5 New England Wolves players have either signed Professional contracts or appeared in professional contests including, Haakon Hundsnes, Tord Thoreson, Daniel Hall, Jack Musil and Adam Barnes. “As we continue to grow as an organization it is fantastic to see our players continue their careers on the professional level.” GM Andrew Trimble said.  “We are happy for Adam and look forward to watching him continue his career on the professional stage.”
