With both the EHL and EHLP team losing on Saturday in Massachusetts rinks, the Wolves Junior Hockey Program officially ended its 2017-18 season.  

The EHL team set a new high for wins in a season by its EHL franchise, qualifying for the playoffs (the first JR A playoff berth in Laconia JR hockey history).  In a first round battle versus the Walpole Express the Wolves were swept, but battled in a tight 4-3 loss on Saturday in Walpole. “I am excited about the direction this program is heading.” Commented GM Andrew Trimble. 

League- wide the Wolves were recognized for their charitable work and the JBT Benefit Game, which raised a new high (over $23,000) on March 3rd. Captain Blake Harlow was awarded 2nd Team All northern conference, off the strength of his 30 goal season. Roger Powers, Rodahn Evans, Chris Mattone, and several more are headed to NCAA hockey programs in the Fall.

For the EHLP team, Coach Tim Kunes squad advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs for a 2nd year in a row, defeating the Valley JR Warriors both this year and last.  Forward Jake Drucker, was nominated for Student/Athlete of the year, and even has an upcoming MSG TV piece debuting on him later this month.

Wolves tryouts are slated for April 27-29 at Plymouth State University.  With an expansion into the Youth Market, the Wolves program is offering U14 Full and U16/U18 Split Season Teams next year.  Coach Tim Kunes will take over the EHL (Top Divisokn) team and Andrew Trimble will be General Manager and coach the EH U19 division team.  Connor Bates, Dave Pollak, Mike Potenza, Dillon Smith and John Guerin will add to the staff as coaches at different level.
