BOSTON, MA -- Another week in the books in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), and we're now just a month away from the postseason. This past weekend featured a number of great matchups, including a handful of potential playoff previews. As is always the case with every team in action, there were plenty of worthy candidates for our weekly honors.
The EHL is pleased to announce that Zander Allen(New England Wolves), Christian Dahl (Philadelphia Revolution), and Riley Sims (Valley Jr. Warriors) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Week.
The week ahead features a total of 21 games from Tuesday to Monday, and the next set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Week will be released on Monday, February 12th at 4:00pm. Catch the #Eshow action all season long on HockeyTV.
Allen and the Wolves won their only game of the week this past Sunday over the Valley Jr. Warriors. The 7-3 victory was highlighted by Allen's four-goal outburst, which also happened to be his first tallies of the season. Through the first 40 games of the season, the '97 had racked up a respectable 15 assists, but no goals. The native of Rochester, NY got the monkey off his back and then some on Sunday, all while helping his team earn a pair of huge points in the push for the playoffs. Allen and the Wolves have nine games left, and are currently in possession of the tiebreaker over the Warriors for the 6th and final playoff spot in the North Conference. With the Warriors owning a game in hand, and the Total Athletics Seahawks just three points back, this weekend's home-and-home series against the Boston Jr. Rangers puts a huge four points on the line for the Wolves.
