Great crowd of Lakers Mites on Ice & Zander Foundation

Saturday was a very special night in Laconia as the Wolves took the ice in an important EHL matchup that also raised money in Alex Evans name for the Zander Foundation.

Sharing the locker room with the Lakes Region Lakers, who played during the 1st intermission, the Wolves got off to a fast start.  Hunter Kirouac opened the scoring and Chris Mattone making solid saves in net.

After the Lakers played, the Wolves exploded for a remarkable second period led by Captain Blake Harlow.  7 goals total in the 2nd period (2 by Harlow, Andre Gulbrandsen, Hunter Kirouac’s 2nd, Zach Dezotelle, Caleb Drouin, and Anthony Thurston).

Between the 2nd and 3rd period a presentation was made by the Zander Foundation as the 50/50 Winner was announced.

Harlow would finish off the Hat Trick with a power play goal in the 3rd period, as the Wolves took the valuable 2 points away from the Valley JR Warriors in the 9-2 route.

“It’s nights like this that separate Laconia from other Junior Hockey destinations.” Said Head Coach Andrew Trimble.  “Local families and hockey fans coming out and appreciating the effort of these young men shows how much this place is a Hockey Town.”
