While this years crop of EHL Imports are enjoying successful seasons with the Wolves program, Laconia Junior teams have had a rich history of developing import players, moving them on to the next level, and those players continuing to excel.
Laconia has fielded Junior hockey teams since the 1998 season. Michal Bodnar, a Czech native, was one of the first imports to come to Laconia to play hockey. Playing for two years in Laconia, Michal then went on to a very successful career at nearby Plymouth State University, before permanently settling in the Lakes Region upon graduation. "Michal is a friend and supporter of hockey here in the Lakes Region. He participated in last years JBT 1 on 1 game and scored an amazing shootout goal. He is a true success story." commented Wolves GM/ Head Coach Andrew Trimble.
Former Laconia Junior Players Eikka Sutinen, Niclas Fridholm and Jussi Sipponen all played Pro in Finland.
Denis Sinyagin is currently in his 3rd pro season in the KHL after playing 2 seasons of Junior Hockey in Laconia. He won the AJHL's Rookie of Year in the 2011-12 season.

From 2014-16 the Wolves had two outstanding Moscow born players on their roster, Mikhail Astakhov and Mikhail Koval. Astakhov is currently playing college hockey in Russia for Moscow State Academy of Physical Education and Koval has continued his junior hockey career playing for the top JR league (MHL) in Russia for Spartak Moscova.
Two Scandinavians are currently playing Pro Hockey after developing for the New England Wolves. Norwegian born players Tord Thoreson is playing for Mangerlud Star and Haakon Hundsnes is playing for Tonsberg Vikings." Tord is a high- character, balanced and success- oriented person who came to the US to get his education and will continue that mission in a masters program while continuing his hockey career." said Wolves Owner Steve Jacobs.
Jack Musil, a 1993 Birth Year Forward from Beverly, Great Britain, played for Coach Jacobs and the Wolves program for the 2013-14 season, amassing 101 points in 54 games. His success with the Wolves earned him a spot with the University of Maine Black Bears in the Hockey East.
This years crop of Import Players carry on this rich tradition. Adam Barnes (England) and Andre Gulbrandsen (Norway) both represented their countries at the World Junior Championships (U18) in 2016-17. Aleck Forcier from Laval, Quebec, was last year's EHL U19 Defenseman of the Year. " I think we provide a training focused model, in a geographically unique setting." said Wolves GM/ Head Coach Andrew Trimble. " With Lakes, Mountains and tourism, our import players get to experience something unique here in Laconia."
