2016-17 EHLer is in first year of Norwegian Pro

Wolves EHL top division Alumni Forward Haakon Hundsnes adjusting to life as a Pro Hockey Player in Norway.

Hundsnes came to the Wolves program at Thanksgiving during the 2016-17 season.  In his time in Laconia, Hundsnes made an immediate impact, registering 15 points in 24 games, while playing an aggressive two-way style of play.  "Haakon stayed with my family over the Thanksgiving break and I was immediately struck by his personality." said Wolves GM/ Head Coach Andrew Trimble.  " He interacted with my kids, was extremely gracious, and took advantage of all the extra ice time I could get for him over the Thanksgiving break so that he could jump right into the EHL lineup."

Although he had several college opportunities once the season concluded, he chose to stay in Europe and pursue opportunities back at home.  "I signed for a pro team... I am going to study in Oslo... Thank you for everything." Hundsnes commented.

Embarking on his pro career this Fall with the Tonsberg Vikings in Norway2, the second highest level, Hundsnes made an immediate impact.  Vikings Player Profile reported:

Comes all the way from Stavanger, known for his hard work on and off the ice. In first 3 pre-season games, with his hard-working hard hitting game, has already become one of Fans Favorite!

So far on the season Hundsnes has recorded 3 assists, while playing a smart, defensive, two-way game.  "It's been a good transition to pro hockey, learning a lot.  Played many good games." said Hundsnes.  " "I just wanted to thank you for everything and wish you good luck with the season and the new team!"

The Wolves program and EHL wish Haakon Hundsnes continued success in his pro hockey journey!
