Laconia, NH. October 8, 2017. The New England Wolves EHL & EHLP Junior Hockey teams recorded victories on home ice on Saturday (EHL) & Sunday (EHLP), to improve the Wolves records in the tightly contested Northern Conference of the Eastern Hockey League.
Saturday’s EHL game in Laconia was a Benefit for the WoW Trail, and turned out to be a very entertaining high scoring affair. The Wolves outshot their opponents, the New York Bobcats 52-19, and secured a 7-6 victory. Adam Barnes and Rodahn Evans paced the scoring with 2 goals a piece, and Defenseman Aleck Forcier was stellar on the blueline, in addition to chipping in a Power Play Goal.
The EHLP game on Sunday morning versus New York Applecore, was far more of a defensive struggle. Wolves netminder Noah Stock turned away 16 shots on net, and the EHLP team was paced by two goals from Ohio- born Forward Prestyn Hoefler. In the 3rd period the Wolves achieved the 4-2 victory after a late goal by Gaetano DeLonge.
The Wolves return to action with their EHL team on home ice Wednesday night vs the TACC Seahawks, 630pm puck drop, before travelling to Mid- October Showcases next weekend. For more info visit- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com
