Wolves Premier Open season with a Pair of Wins!

The New England Wolves EHL Premier team opened their season this weekend with three games. Their home opener Friday night was against the Walpole Express, a division rival. The Wolves came out strong with a 4-0 lead but squandered it away with a final score of 5-4 in favor of Walpole. 

The Wolves were able to come back strong on Saturday night against another division rival, the Valley Junior Warriors in Haverhill, Mass.  Although they ran into some penalty trouble, the Wolves finished the game 3-2 with the game winner coming on a wrist shot from Anthony Thurston. 

On Sunday, the Wolves were up against the Valley Junior Warriors once again but this time had the home ice advantage at Merrill Fay Arena. The team was able to finish the weekend out strong by defeating the Valley Junior Warriors, this time by a score of 4-2.

Dylan Treamer scored a goal in each game and finished the weekend with 6 points (3g 3a). Bryce Ricker and Prestyn Hoefler also paced the offense with 3g 1a and 1g 4a respectively. Arie Johnson added 3a from the backend. Noah Stock and Hunter Koch performed well in goal and each earned a win against the Warriors. 

The Wolves travel to Vermont next weekend for two games where they will take on the Lumberjacks.
