Tait Aptakin, the 6’2” 185lb forward from Fort Lauderdale, FL has committed to Worcester State University for the 2017-2018 season! Tait came to the Wolves halfway through the season after starting the season with the Soo Eagles in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. Tait registered 2 assists in his 11 games played. In Tait’s second game with the Wolves, he suffered a severe high ankle sprain which kept him from playing from the beginning of December until February.

Worcester State University is located in the residential northwestern side of Worcester, which is the second largest city in Massachusetts and home to 11 other colleges and universities. Worcester State is the only Massachusetts state university to earn a “Best in the Northeast” ranking from The Princeton Review 13 years in a row. One of many accolades they have earned for both their excellence in academics and engagement within their community. Their Men’s Ice Hockey Program competes at the NCAA Division III level in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.

“Tait has a real knack for the net. He is a threat to make something happen every time that he is on the ice. There are not a lot of players that have Tait's natural offensive instincts.  He should be a welcome addition to the Lancers.” - Head Coach Brett Tryder
