The New England Wolves have named Andrew Trimble as Eastern Hockey League Premier Head Coach for the 2017-2018 season. A native of Manasquan, NJ and former NCAA hockey player at SUNY- Buffalo State, Andrew is the Owner/ Head Instructor for Scoring Concepts LLC (www.scoringconcepts.com), a New Hampshire-based hockey training business that offers camps, clinics, private training, and tournament teams throughout the eastern seaboard.  Scoring Concepts is the skills training provider to Henniker Youth Hockey, Rochester Youth Hockey, Lakes Region Youth Hockey, and teaches skills to hundreds of kids from all over the US every year.

In his 3 year run as Elite Head Coach, Coach Trimble's teams rebuilt Laconia, NH as a JR hockey destination.  With an emphasis on community involvement, activism, outreach and personal accountability; his team's set (2015) and then re-set (2017), the highest win totals by a USA Hockey JR Program in Laconia in 12 years.  During that time he was a League "Coach of the Year" finalist twice and coached in the EHL Elite All Star Game (2016).   His teams never missed post-season play.

Prior to his time in JR Hockey, Trimble was a successful High School coach, taking over the program at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, NH, where in his first year with the program, his team posted the first winning season in 9 years and followed that with the only back to back playoff appearances in over a decade.  His success in the 2012-2013 season led to him being voted as the NHIAA DII Coach of the Year and Foster’s Daily Democrat “Dream Team” Coach.   Prior to his time at Kingswood, Trimble turned around the High School program at Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ.  In his first season at JDHS (2009-2010) their 9 wins was the same win total as the 3 combined previous seasons, qualifying for an at-large NJ State tournament berth in his first year.

Trimble has been an evaluator for USA Hockey at the Rocky Mountain District camp and at SAHA.  In 2013, he wrote and developed the Championship Productions DVD release, "Home School Hockey", an instructional DVD that teaches players of all ages how to effectively use off- ice drills to develop their on- ice skills.

“I am excited about the challenge of re-branding our organization and showcasing what works in Laconia. Finding talented, but also gritty, tough-minded players who are committed to the far-reaching goals of the organization. I can’t thank Steve Jacobs enough for this opportunity.” - Andrew Trimble

“We are thrilled to have Andrew move into the Head Coach position with the Premier team, as well as taking the General Manager role in the program.  Andrew is a strong teacher and administrator who is an effective communicator, and who is focused on building a culture focused on player well-being and success on and off the ice.  I have observed him gain the respect of his players through his competence and personal example.  His knowledge of the game and positive enthusiastic approach and consistency with the mission, vision and team building are clearly visible in the work ethic and success of his teams.  He makes sure his teams enjoy working hard and feel prepared and equipped to get the job done.  Andrew is also strong with community outreach and teaches his players the value of giving back which is another important example of his strong teaching/coaching acumen.” - Owner / GM Steve Jacobs
