Laconia, NH, March 13, 2017.  With a loss to the Boston JR Rangers on Sunday, the New England Wolves EHL Elite U19, after scoring dramatic victories in the first two playoff games, were officially eliminated from the EHL Elite playoffs.

Starting the playoffs on Wednesday, the Wolves traveled down to Haverhill, MA and defeated the Valley JR Warriors 4-1 to advance to the 2nd round of the playoffs.  Josh George was outstanding in nets, and the Wolves got timely scoring Nate Trull, Blake Harlow, Quinn Fahey and Carl Bear.  The win advanced the Wolves to the Northern Conference Finals, a Round Robin- style playoff series that pitted the Wolves against the Boston JR Rangers, Vermont Lumberjacks and the NH Monarchs.

The Wolves continued their momentum from Wednesday with perhaps the biggest upset of the playoffs when they defeated the Vermont Lumberjacks, a team that had only lost 4 games all year, 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.  Blake Harlow recorded two more goals, and was helped by Max Levasseur, Carl Bear, Zach Dezotelle and Rob Lennox also scoring.

Two hard fought losses, against the Monarchs and Rangers, eliminated the Wolves from title contention.  Starring in those games was Blake Harlow, who currently leads all playoff scorers with 9 points in 4 games (including 6 goals).

The season finishes up with the Wolves U19 recording the most wins by a Laconia- based USA Hockey JR program in the last 12 years.  The win total (26 including playoffs) is also the most ever by a Wolves EHL franchise, and the playoff wins were the first in Wolves EHL franchise history.
