Wolves Win "Game for Max" 4-1

Laconia, NH.  With a large crowd in attendance and value playoff points on the line, the New England Wolves EHL U19 defeated the Boston JR Rangers 4-1 on Saturday night in the, "A Game for Max".

Max Gagnon, a Laconia boy battling Leukemia ALL, was the guest of honor on Saturday night at the Merrill Fay Arena, and spent the entire pregame with the Wolves, both behind the bench and in the locker room. "Max's story is one this team has been following for quite some time. His perseverance, effort and ability to smile through it all, has inspired this team and this community." Said Wolves Head Coach Andrew Trimble.

The Wolves got off to a great start, building a 3-0 lead at the end of the 1st period on goals by Dylan Treamer (Belmont, NH), Blake Harlow and a late goal on an offensive zone face-off by Zach Dezotelle.  

The Rangers refused to quit, however, as the game battled through a back and forth 2nd period.  Wolves Captain Rob Lennox, added a 4th goal to bring the score to 4-0, before the Rangers scored a late goal in the 3rd period.  Josh George was outstanding in nets with 36 saves.

The Wolves return to action with 2 games in 3 days.  Sunday in Tewksbury, Ma and Tuesday in Laconia at 830pm. All are against the JR Rangers.  For more info go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com
