Laconia, NH.  The New England Wolves EHL Elite JR Hockey team, playing out of the Merrill Fay Arena in Laconia, have announced a special event for Max Gagnon, a local Laconia boy who is fighting Leukemia.

The Wolves home game, 4:20pm Puck Drop, on February 11, 2017 versus the New Jersey Rockets will be “ A Game for Max”.  Max will spend the pre-game with the Wolves Elite team; watching the warmups from the players bench and serving as Honorary Captain.  During the game the Wolves will be selling Autographed Team and Player pictures, of which 100% of the proceeds will go to Max and his family.  Additionally, the popular “Max Bracelet’s” which can be found all over the Lakes Region will be available for purchase during the game.  In between the first and second periods the Gagnon Family will address the crowd.

Maxwell Gagnon was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia type B, or leukemia ALL, earlier this summer. He was rushed to the emergency room at Boston Children's Hospital and was a patient there for the next 43 days.  His treatment is expected to last 2 years.  You can follow his journey on his Facebook page, “Maxwell Fights ALL”.

“It is our Honor to have Max with us for our game on the 11th.  Our players had the opportunity to meet both Max and his Father, Mike, about a month ago and his story truly inspired us.” Said Wolves Head Coach Andrew Trimble.  “This event is a small way for us to rally the community and show our support for a very special kid and a very special family.”

Cost to enter is $5 for Adults, $1 for Children Under 12.  50% of the gate revenue will go to support Max in his Fight.
