Laconia, NH. January 15, 2017-  The New England Wolves U19 EHL Elite recorded 2 wins on the weekend against rival divisional opponents.  The 2 wins, out of the 3 games played, gives the Wolves 7 victories in their last 8 games.

Starting on Friday night, the Wolves travelled to Hooksett, NH and defeated the New Hampshire JR Monarchs 3-2.  The Wolves were paced by outstanding work in net by Philadelphia, PA native Noah Stock who recorded 21 saves on 23 shots.  Goal scorers included Quinn Fahey (on the Power Play) and Seamus Eagan, with Rob Lennox netting the game winner in the 3rd period.  Laval, Quebec native Aleck Forcier was a force on the blueline, and also potted 3 assists.

After a setback to the Valley JR Warriors on Saturday at home, the Wolves responded on Sunday with one of the best efforts they have had all season.  The Wolves built a 4-0 lead on the travelling Walpole Express, heading into the 3rd period of goals by Max Levasseur, Carl Bear, and 2 by Fedor Lopaev.  The 3rd period, however, would be a back and forth affair as the Wolves and Express would trade goals throughout the 20minute stanza.  Both goaltenders, Josh George of the Wolves and Max Flynn of Walpole had to make dramatic saves consistently.  After the 20 minutes were up, the hometown Wolves proved to be the victors by a score of 6-3.  Their 49 shots on goal was their 2nd highest total of the season.

“This team defines the word “Grit”.” Said Coach Andrew Trimble.  “Whether is a 3-2 defensive game, or a 6-3 offensive affair, our boys continually step up to the plate and deliver.”

The Wolves return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Hudson, NH to play a make- up game against the Northern Cyclones at 1pm.  For more info go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com
