Laconia, NH. January 8, 2017. The New England Wolves EHL Elite continued its longest win streak in franchise history with a 5th straight victory at home on Sunday afternoon.

With the weather conditions cancelling Saturday nights away game vs the Northern Cyclones, the Wolves U19's took to home ice vs the Walpole Express on Sunday afternoon for their first game of the 2017 calendar year.

The home team would jump out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on all special teams goals.  Two on the power play ( scored by Fedor Lopaev and Max Levasseur) and a beautiful shorthanded tally by Aleck Forcier.
The visitors, however, stormed back in the 2nd with three goals of their own to set up a dramatic third period.

Trading two goals a piece to knot the score at 5-5 ( tallied for the Wolves by Levasseur again and Blake Harlow), the Wolves would enter the overtime period on the power play once again.  I took till the 1:58 mark of OT before the Wolves would clinch the victory.  On the offensive zone face off, Fedor Lopaev stepped around the Walpole defense and deposited the winner to seal the game for the hometown team.

The Wolves u19's return to action next weekend with 3 games.  Friday away vs Monarchs and Saturday (645pm and Sunday(215pm) at home.  For more info go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com
