On Friday night in New Jersey, Boston Bandits forward Mick Deaver suffered a serious injury to his spine. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help his parents with their hotel costs, to transport him home after he is stable, physical therapy, and many other expenses. Please take the time to donate and help spread the word!

Mick Deaver is a 17 year old teenager whose one love is playing hockey.  Mick was living in Boston and living out his dream  and hopefully continuing on after he graduated from high school

On Friday, November 19, 2016 Mick was playing hockey on the road in New Jersey with his parents watching the game streaming one line. As Mick turned, to change directions, he lost the edge on one of his skates and started to fall. On his way to the ice, there was a player traveling the opposite direction. Mick's head came in contact (collided) with the other player's knee. The collision caused serious injury to Mick's (C5)spine. Mick has already undergone surgery and will need additional surgeries and medical attention as his prognosis is further evaluated.

Mick and his family will have a long road of recovery and medical expenses over the course of the next several months. Many people have inquired as to how they can help.  We have set up this gofundme, to help his family with expenses they will have over the course of the next several month.

The money donated from gofundme will help Shawn and Jennifer with expenses while they are in New Jersey, transporting him home after he is stable, physical therapy, and many other expenses.
