CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Fredonia goaltender Eric Bogart (London, Ont.) has been named Men's Hockey Goaltender of the Week by the State University of New York Athletic Conference.

Bogart, a sophomore, was in net for both games of the Blue Devils' home-and-home weekend series with the Buffalo State Bengals. He made 79 saves and allowed three goals in the two games -- a 4-2 win Friday at Buffalo and a 1-1 tie Saturday at Steele Hall. 

He saved his best work for late in both games. Of his 37 saves Friday, 17 came in the third period. On Saturday, he had 18 saves in the third period and four more in the overtime out of a total of 42.

In the process, he lowered his season numbers to 2.45 goals against and a 93.2 percent save percentage with a record of 1-1-1.
