The Wolves Premier Club is proud to announce that center ice- man Joe Flanagan has committed to play his collegiate hockey for Ken Hutchins and the SNHU Penmen beginning in September of 2016.  Flanagan is a 2 year veteran at the American Hockey Institute after starring on the AEHL Champion Wolves Independent team last year.  A strong two-way center who is always in position defensively, Flanagan is a dominant player below the circles and on face-offs.  “Joe is a balanced player with outstanding hockey sense in all 3 zones”, said Coach Steve Jacobs.  “He has excellent size and strength and he does all the little things well.  His determination, puck handling skills, scorers mentality and instinctiveness make him dangerous around the net.   We have relied on Joe on all our big defensive zone face-offs, and as a shut-down center who has earned trust from the coaching staff as a high quality, character kid”.

“I am very excited to achieve my goal of playing college hockey.  I am thankful for being lucky enough to go to a great school like Southern New Hampshire”. said Flanagan.  “I was really impressed with the school and hockey staff during my visit.  I also love the location”, he continued.  “I would like to thank my coaches Steve Jacobs, Brett Tryder, Jon Fontas and Coaches Haun, Lubinski and the rest of the Wolves staff for helping me achieve this dream.  I also want to thank my parents and all of my family for helping me become a better person and player, including my 10 year old sister Hannah who will yell at me when I don’t play my best.  It has been a long road for me playing for the Wolves the past 2 years and I could not be any happier where it has led me”, he concluded.
