Laconia, February 7, 2016-   The New England Wolves EHL Elite JR hockey team split with their New Hampshire rivals, the Northern Cyclones and the New Hampshire JR Monarchs, in the first weekend of February 2016.

Saturday’s 7-3 win over the Cyclones was bolstered by strong performances from All Star’s Shawn Sullivan (2 goals and 1 assist), Zander Allen (1 goal) and Kyle Carignan (1 goal and 1 assist). “It was a committed, total team effort victory.  The team jumped out to a 3 goal lead and controlled the pace of the game.”  Said Head Coach Andrew Trimble.

On Sunday, the Wolves started off poorly allowing 2 goals in the first 84 seconds of the contest, before battling back to 4-2 late in the second period.  The Monarchs offense would respond in the third, however, eventually winning 8-2.   Mikhail Astakhov and Zach Dezotelle scored for the Wolves.

The Wolves return to action next weekend with 3 games, including their last 2 home games of the regular season.  Saturday February 13th the Wolves play the Boston Bandits at Laconia Ice Arena at 7pm, and follow that up with a Valentine’s Day matchup against those same Bandits at home at 2:15pm.  All fans who enter for the Valentine’s day game get Free Valentine’s Day Candy.  For more information go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com .
