Laconia, January 2, 2016.-  New England Wolves MJHL defenseman starring at 2 sports at Butler University.

Hunter Byram, a 2014-15 season member of the New England Wolves MJHL team has transferred schools for the 2015-16 school year and now excelling at 2 sports. "Hunter came to us late in 2014 as he was a scholarship golf player at Franklin Pierce.  He missed the game of hockey and we provided him the opportunity to compete with our team on an availability- only basis for the remainder of the season." Said Coach Andrew Trimble.

The 1996 birth year defenseman played 16 games and recorded a goal and an assist on the season.  He also competed in all of the Wolves playoff games.

In the spring of 2015 Byram made the choice to transfer schools, in part so he could continue to participate in both athletic endeavors, enrolling in Butler University for the 2015-16 school year.

"Hunter was a great teammate and a competitive athlete at his core.  You could tell in every game he played with us, that he gave 100% effort and that his heart wasn't finished with hockey." Trimble commented.  "He was an outstanding Connecticut high school player and an integral part of our inaugural season.  I'm very proud of his continued success!".
