Laconia, December 21, 2015-   The New England Wolves EHL Elite JR hockey team recorded a dramatic come for behind 5-4 victory on Friday night versus the Valley JR Warriors of Haverhill, MA at the EHL Walpole Showcase.

A total team effort accomplished the victory, as 5 different players scored.  Three of the scorers hail from New Hampshire (Kyle Carignan, Andrew D’Amour, and Zach Allard).  Brian Thomas was solid nets with 28 saves, as the team rallied on several occasions including coming back from a 4-2 deficit.   “We are starting to see a more balanced attack, which is critical to our team having success.” Said Wolves Head Coach Andrew Trimble.  “In addition to the New Hampshire born guys scoring, Misha Astakhov and Zach Dezotelle scored big goals at crucial times.”  Manchester, NH native Zach Allard scored the deciding goal with less than 2 minutes to go on a great forechecking effort.

The Wolves are dedicating the 2015-16 season to the memory of John Bradley Thompson, a Gilford Elementary school student who passed away from DIPG, a rare form of Brain Cancer, a little over a year ago.  Each Wolves player has a commemorative “JBT” sticker on the left side of their helmet as a reminder of the courage, spirit, and hope of John Bradley.  “John’s strength through enormous adversity greatly impacted me and this community.  I wanted our players to play hard and fight on, in memory of the most courageous little man I ever met.” Said Trimble.

The Wolves return to action, following their Holiday break against the Northern Cyclones on January 9th in Hudson, NH.  For more information go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com .    For more info on DIPG and John Bradley Thompson go to-  http://thinkjohnbradley.com
