Laconia, November 14, 2015-   The New England Wolves EHL Elite JR hockey team recorded a convincing 5-1 victory on Saturday night versus the Valley JR Warriors of Haverhill, MA.

Leading the victory was the outstanding trio of Wolves Forwards Zander Allen, Kyle Carignan and Dillon Smith.  All three players hail from New Hampshire.  Carignan and Allen both recorded goals in the contest and the trio combined for 5 total points, in a performance that was dominant at both ends of the ice.  “Dillon and Kyle are Co- Captains for this year’s squad and have quietly steered this team in the right direction.  Zander is a player that the team feeds off of, as his skill and determination provide a great example.” Said Wolves Head Coach Andrew Trimble.  Also scoring were Forwards Mikhail Astakhov of Moscow, Russia, Matthew Maple of Fullerton, CA and 1 by Defenseman Alfredo Lugo of Buffalo, NY. Netminder Noah Stock was solid in nets with 40 saves.

“It was a good effort by our team, but also a good weekend for the program.” Commented Assistant Coach Mike Potenza.  This point was exemplified in that the Wolves Laconia- based franchise secured a win in their only game of the weekend, but also their Waterville- based affiliate achieved a 1-0 record after defeating the New Hampshire JR Monarchs 5-4 on Friday night.

The Wolves return to action next weekend with 3 games, including 2 at home.  Laconia home games are Friday versus the Boston Bandits at 7pm and Sunday versus the Vermont Lumberjacks at 2:15pm.  For more information go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com .    Or check out the EHL Website, as the New England Wolves Laconia based franchise has a feature article this week detailing it’s volunteer work.
