Laconia, November 8, 2015-   The New England Wolves EHL Elite JR hockey team recorded a dramatic 5-4 overtime victory on Saturday night versus the Northern Cyclones of Hudson, NH.

Leading the victory was the outstanding play of Wolves Defenseman Shawn Sullivan, who not only shutdown several of the top players on the Cyclones but also recorded the game winning goal on a beautiful breakaway rush with only 1 second remaining in overtime.  Also scoring were Forwards Mikhail Astakhov of Moscow, Russia, Dylan Treamer of Belmont, NH and 2 by team Co- Captain Dillon Smith of Madison, NH.  Smith’s linemates, Zander Allen and Kyle Carignan (both of Rochester, NH) had 2 assists each in the effort.  Following up the victory, the Wolves met up with league leading New Hampshire JR Monarchs on Sunday, a team with 14 victories already on the young season.  Exchanging goals throughout the contest in the fast-paced affair, it would be decided only in the closing minutes and sealed when the Monarchs scored an empty netter with 18 seconds remaining.  Kyle Carignan had 2 goals in the game.  Also scoring was Caleb Drouin (Belmont, NH) and Ryan Padden (Fort Peck, MT).  16 year old netminder Brian Thomas was solid in nets with 44 saves.

“Our leaders really went out this weekend and lead by example.” Said Coach Andrew Trimble.

The Wolves return to action next weekend at home versus the Valley JR Warriors on Saturday at 7pm.  Intermission entertainment provided by the Broadway North Wolves Dancers.   For more information go to- www.americanhockeyinstitute.com
