Revolution 5, Wolves 3

The Wolves ran into penalty trouble throughout the Friday night game in Waterville Valley and the Philadelphia Revolution took advantage of the added momentum to hold on for the 5-3 win.  Although the Wolves penalty killing was strong killing off 7 of 8, the defending for 16 minutes took a lot out of the home team.  The Revolution were only whistled for 2 infractions in the game.  Clay Plyler scored two goals and Nick Marin added a goal while Collin Malone, Flurin Domenig, Jake Saxe, Ryan Dunn and Brian Cameron all picked up assists for the Wolves.  Goaltender Simon Jasmin stopped 19 of 23 Revolution shots.

JR Monarchs 4, Wolves 1

The Wolves ran into penalty trouble once again on Sunday afternoon and the league leading Jr Monarchs scored on 2 of 7 attempts to spoil a strong effort by the Wolves and take the 4-1 win.  The lopsided penalty line proved too much for the Wolves who went 1 for 3 on their power play opportunities while going toe to toe with Monarchs throughout the fast paced and physical game.  The lone Wolves goal was scored by Jake Saxe who stuffed a goal mouth feed home off a hard Nick Marin pass.  Jarrod Fitzpatrick started the play faking a shot before feeding Marin in the right circle.  Kurt Gutting played a strong game in net for the Wolves stopping 26 of 30.
