The Wolves Independent team took two games from The National Sports Academy, and after a slow start, they go into Thanksgiving break winning 14 of their last 16 games. The winning streak has been due to improvements in all areas including offense, defense, goaltending, and special teams.

Scoring leaders Ryan Chauvin (17 goals and 44 points) Mathieu Dubois (15 goals and 39 points) and Anthony D’alessandro (18 goals and 38 points) have led the attack. Joe Flanagan (11 goals and 31 points) and Mathew-Donald Toombs ( 12 goals and 30 points) are right behind the leaders with a point per game average. Jake Saxe (14 goals and 28 points) and Nick Potvin (11 goals and 28 points) who were added to the roster after several games, have been key additions to the team and have added to the offensive production.

The Wolves defense has been led by Cody Weaver, Mathias Johansson, Dillon Gargano, and Sam Perreault who all arrived in Waterville Valley prepared to play junior hockey. The emergence of Max Kent, Carl Rabbing, and Tommy Biagetti has been the real key to the improvement on defense.

The goaltending numbers have also improved dramatically led by the stellar play of Charles Jakobsson. Charles has posted a 1.81 goals against average and a .931 save percentage. Goalies Rob LaBonte(2.54 GAA and .901 save %) and Jergus Spodniak( 3.01 GAA and .896 save %)had added key wins in net and have earned the confidence of their team mates.

Improvements in all areas have led to great special teams numbers. The power play has a 27 percent success rate and the penalty kill led by Matt Moody, Evan Ferraro, Danny Ryan, Derek Boucher, and Jordan Smith has killed penalties at an 87 percent rate of success.

The Wolves are looking forward to getting back on the ice after a ten day break at Merrimac College, North Andover, MA on December 4th against the Islanders U18 team. Game time is 8:00 PM.
