The NE WOLVES EHL Team closed out the season this past weekend with 2 wins over the Walpole EXPRESS and the New Jersey TITANS.

NE WOLVES 4, WALPOLE EXPRESS 3 (OT)

In overtime, Ryan Dunn raced down the right wing and whistled a hard wrist shot home to complete a comeback from a 3-1 third period deficit and give the Wolves their second win in two weeks over EHL Boston division winner Walpole Express last Friday in Walpole.  The two teams battled neck and neck through two periods with Walpole holding a 1-0 lead entering the third by virtue of an early power play goal by Eric Lipa.    The Wolves tied it up at 1-1 on a power play of their own when Nick Marin rifled one home from the slot after taking a feed from Dunn.  Ryan Shea picked up the second assist on the goal.  Colin Biebel scored back to back goals for Walpole at 7:23 while shorthanded and again at 13:13 on the power play to put the home team up 3-1 setting the stage for the Wolves comeback.  Christian La Croix answered the Biebel power play goal just 17 seconds later with a highlite reel goal taking a center ice feed from Ryan Dunn and beating two defenders on his off wing before taking the puck strong to the slot and ripping a low hard slap shot to the 5 hole to bring his club back to within one.  La Croix would strike again at 17:56 after the Wolves applied heavy pressure and Nick Marin fed Ryan Shea at the point.  Shea promptly fired a hard slap shot on net which Express goaltender Cory Roderick stopped only to have La Croix patrolling the front and banging home the rebound to tie it at 3-3.  Goaltender Eric Bogart who was outstanding all day stopping 43 of 46 shots was strong in stopping a point blank Walpole shot in overtime before the Dunn heroics gave the Wolves the win.

NE WOLVES 6, NEW JERSEY TITANS 1

After scoring all 4 goals in the Friday win over Walpole the Wolves EHL gold line of Nick Marin, Ryan Dunn and ChristianLa Croix continued their hot scoring pace in a convincing 6-1 win over the New Jersey Titans Sunday afternoon in Waterville Valley. Wolves leading scorer Christian La Croix notched a point on every goal, scoring 2 and assisting on 4 in a dominating performance while linemates Marin (2-1-3) and Dunn (1-2-3) continued their strong production. Sean O'Brien also scored for the home team and Clay Plyler (2), Parker Weekes, Sean Hallice and Mike Kelleher added assists. Kurt Gutting earned the win in goal stopping 30 of 31 Titan shots.
