The New England Wolves recorded stellar weekends in their first ever experience at the ECEL (East Coast Elite League) Labor Day Showcase.
With established AAA programs coming from all across the United States, the Wolves teams shined. Although they did not win in any bracket, over the span of 3 teams, each playing 4 games, the Wolves only recorded 2 regulation losses in the Sept. 2-6 tournament.
First off, the U15's finished with 3 ties and 1 OT Shootout loss, followed by the U18s which recorded a 2-1-1 record. The U16's finished 2-1-1 as well, with their final game being a thrilling 0-0 nailbiter versus Connecticut's Elite Hockey Academy.
"With limited ice time thus far (Merrill Fay Arena opens Sept. 7 to the Wolves) I'm really impressed with where our teams are and how hard we competed." said GM Andrew Trimble. "Its going to be an exciting year, once we get into our normal practice schedule."
