Wolves Alumni Update- Nick Brewer
Recently we caught up with 1998 defenseman, and alumni of the Wolves in the 2018-19 EHL season, Nick Brewer. The Wolves were Brewer's 3rd Jr team in 3 years after having spent the first two out west in the USPHL. He came to the Wolves and played 42 games recording 7 assists and earning himself several college looks.
Brewer then enrolled for his freshman season in 2019-20 at Post University and scored his first college goal in his first college game. Brewer is currently a sophomore at Post University in Connecticut.
"We actually did not have a season this year. The NE10 and Post both elected to not play due to covid. So I’ve just been in the gym everyday and trying to get as much ice time as possible over the last year." commented Brewer
Brewer is remembered as a team-first, good skating defenseman during his time in Laconia. "I think what I’m looking forward to the most is just being on campus and around the boys again. As well as the workouts, practices and games. As far academically I’m just looking forward to being back in person classes and not online." said Brewer.
Beyond the ice, Brewer is majoring in communications and media studies with an interest in sports journalism, as he looks to stay in the sports industry post- graduation.
When asked how he felt about the Wolves, Brewer commented, "Top of the line program. Wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today without them."
Thanks Nick and the Wolves wish you continued success in college and beyond!!
