The New England Wolves are proud to announce the commitment of John Woernle to Assumption University for the Fall of 2021.  Woernle is a 2000 birth year defender from Wellesley, MA in his second year with the Wolves Program.

Assumption University is a private, Roman Catholic, liberal arts university in Worcester, Massachusetts with an enrollment of about 2,000 undergraduates. The University offers 35 majors and 49 minors with newly added programs in cybersecurity, data analytics, health sciences, neuroscience, nursing, and physician assistant studies.

EHL Head Coach Tim Kunes commented, "“John is a player who came to us two years ago.  He’s improved so much and where he is at now, he’s really taken everything our program has to offer and gotten the most out of it.  I’m very happy and proud of John for getting his college commitment!”

Assumption plays at the NCAA DII level in the NE10 conference.   Thus far on the season, Woernle has amassed 3 goals, 8 assists and 11 points in 30 games while playing a solid 200' game.

Congrats John and good luck in Worcester!
