New England Wolves and Plymouth Jr. Panthers

Announce Development Partnership

May 7, 2020

The New England Wolves and the Plymouth Jr. Panthers are excited to announce a new working relationship beginning in the fall for the 2020-21 season. This partnership between the New England Wolves and Plymouth Jr. Panthers will provide local players with the opportunity to play Tier 1 or 2 hockey while staying close to home. The two programs will work together to strengthen the overall development of players in both programs and provide youth hockey players in our region a clear and recognizable path in their progress.

In addition to the Wolves Junior Teams in the EHL, the Wolves offer U14 and U16 full season teams as well as U10 and U12 AAA Tournament teams. This provides players from Central and Northern New Hampshire a high level of competitive hockey without having to leave the area.  The Wolves coaches will assist Plymouth Youth Hockey with on-ice practices, skills and training.

“The Wolves are thrilled to be working with the Plymouth Youth Hockey program.” Tim Kunes, the Director of Player Development for the Wolves stated. “Providing the opportunity to youth players of this area to experience a higher level of hockey and coaching while still helping kids in both programs continue to develop is our ultimate goal. I’m excited to work with the players in the Jr. Panthers program and work to advance their on ice skills.”

The Director of Youth Hockey for the Plymouth Panthers Zakariah Johnson said “We are excited about the agreement between the New England Wolves and Plymouth Jr. Panthers to cooperate in the development of our players and provide them a continuum and recognizable path in their development. This will compliment our relationship with Plymouth State and provide youth hockey players in our region a one of a kind youth hockey experience.”

Both programs will continue to work towards developing this relationship and their individual programs and look forward to the start of the 2020-21 season.
