Coaching Profiles- Connor Bates

Assistant Coach & Scout

Connor Bates a Laconia, NH native, came to the Wolves upon the completion of  his Pro Career after stops in Manchester with the ECHL Monarchs and the SPHL Fayetteville Marksmen.  He works for the Wolves in a variety of important categories including Scouting & Player acquisition, Coaching, Player Evaluation, and Workouts.

After an outstanding JR career in the AJHL with both the Laconia Leafs and Northern Cyclones (where he was Captain), Connor then went on to a 4 Year NCAA Career, his last season serving as captain at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.  A 6'3 center, Coach Bates was a 200' player who recorded 38 goals in his 4 year NCAA career.

Coach Bates assists with the Wolves program at all levels, including with Scoring Concepts camps and clinics and the Lakes Region Lakers.  Moreover, he is the top assistant on the bench with the Wolves EHL & EHLP Junior teams. In the Fall of 2018, Coach Bates guided his Wolves U16 Split Season team to a playoff championship in the NEPHL.

In the summer, Coach Bates runs workouts at the Wolves Training Center.  Focusing on strength, conditioning, flexibility and much more, his workouts help prepare players at all levels of the Wolves organization.  

Coach Bates is a bright young coach, who has the ability to connect with players at all age levels and abilities.  He processes the game at an elite level, and brings his personal experience and knowledge of New England Junior Hockey to the Wolves program.
