Great fan support for both contests.

The New England Wolves EHLP team, playing in Round 2 of the 2018-19 EHLP playoffs, swept their opponent in back to back games to secure a spot in the Northern Conference Finals next weekend versus the Boston JR Rangers.  The Wolves won both Thursday and Saturday versus the CT Chiefs by a score of 4-2 each game.

”Our group came out with a steady focus.” said Head Coach Andrew Trimble “We had a game plan and the guys executed.  Very proud of what they accomplished.”

The Wolves killed off all 17 of the Chiefs power plays in the series, while also scoring power play goals of their own each game and also added a Shorthanded goal in the two game series.  Individually, Ryan Fueg recorded both victories in nets and Jack Johansen and Garth Wickham starred offensively scoring 5 of the 8 goals.  Andreas Matejka was outstanding defensively.

The next round, the Northern Conference Finals, will be a best of three series to be played next weekend. The Wolves will face the Boston Jr Rangers who finished the season as the top statistical team in the league.  Two games will be in Tewksbury, MA and one will be played at the Merrill Fay Arena in Laconia.
