Gutting Takes Home MVP

For only the second time in the program's history, SNHU (Southern New Hampshire University) captured the NE10 championship.  The NE10 is the nations only DII recognized league in NCAA Hockey.

SNHU won, 4-3, in a thrilling championship game over Saint Anselm on Saturday night.  The game was in front of a large crowd at Saint Anselm's home rink in Goffstown, NH.

In all, 3 players with Wolves ties were part of the championship squad:

#20 Andy Somerville- who recorded an assist in the game

#23 Max Kent- 2016-17 Wolves EHL captain

#35 Kurt Gutting- 2014-2016 Wolves Alumni and Current Wolves Goalie Coach

Gutting was named the NE10's Goaltender of the Year as well as Tournament MVP.  He also named to the All- Championship team.

Congrats is also deserved for Saint Anselm, who had a terrific season.  This is the 5th time in NE10 history both crosstown rivals appeared in the championship game.  Wolves Alumni, Senior Brian Cameron, is a communications major at St. A's and finishes his 4- year career with 23 points.

Congratulations on a great season!!
