New England Wolves Facilities

Merrill Fay Arena

Built on public donations in 1996, the Merrill Fay Arena in Laconia, NH is the home of the New England Wolves.  With seating for 1000, 8 locker rooms, a large warm viewing room, snack bar, pro shop and wireless internet, the Merrill Fay Arena is one of the finest single sheet rinks in all of New England.

All home games can be viewed on LiveBarn and HockeyTV (FloSports).

Dedicated Team Locker Rooms

The Wolves have large, clean, dedicated team locker rooms for each of their JR & U16 Full Season teams to use exclusively for the entire season.  Features include:

  • TV’s in Jr Locker Rooms
  • Multiple Showers
  • Cubby- Style Stalls with under the bench storage
  • Drying & Stick Racks

U16 Locker Room

Team Office

Located on the level above the locker rooms, the Wolves Staff has a separate office they use year-round.  Featuring multiple TV screens for small group video study and pre- scouting of opponents, as well as desks and couch to have individual or small group player meetings.  Additionally, the Wolves have laundry facilities located within the Office, that allows them to disinfect equipment and keep the Wolves uniforms clean and dry throughout the season.

Wolves Training Center & Pick Fit

Located directly across the street from the Merrill Fay Arena, the Wolves have nearly unlimited access to workouts and shooting at the Wolves Training Center.  The Center contains 65' of turf, assorted ladders/ weights/ equipment, and a 30' synthetic ice shooting lane.  5 days a week at Pick- Fit (located within the Wolves Training Center), the Wolves have access to Bosu Balls, Squat Racks, Bench Press, Spin Bikes, and thousands of pounds of Dumbbells and Free Weights.  The Wolves use Pick- Fit for structured, hockey-specific team workouts.  Additionally, Specialist Angela Pickowicz will take the Wolves through a class-style workout on Thursday’s.  These classes include; Yoga, Plyo, Circuits, Spin, Cross- Fit Hybrids and much more.

Player's Lounge & Study Areas

In addition to the on-site classroom the Wolves have access to two Player's Lounges and Study Areas within the Wolves Training Center.  These areas have wifi, comfortable seating, and access to both a refridgerator and microwave so that they can stay on-campus without having to leave to eat their meals.

Merrill Fay Arena Warm Room

The Wolves Home Arena Warm Room, a large/carpeted viewing area above the ice surface, is used by the Wolves for a variety of functions and activities.  It serves as a classroom for their College and Peak Performance seminars, a meeting/ dining room for their Potluck & Host Family dinner, and as a warm/ comfortable stretching area for their pre- game and game day workouts.

Wolves Video Room & Class Room

The Wolves JR Program is one of the only JR hockey programs that places an emphasis on video review and video pre-scouting as part of their weekly development and game prep.  The Wolves average 3 video sessions a week during the season, reviewing not only their previous games and making corrections, but also looking at their future opponents.  The Wolves have their own dedicated, classroom style Video Room used solely for this purpose.
